Peter Maneggia
Peter is currently the head boys volleyball coach at South Windsor High School and in his second year as co-director of CT Velocity.
During the 2015-2016 season, Peter led South Windsor boys volleyball to their first ever state championship. The 2016 season will be his first at the head of Montville's program. Prior to taking over the Montville program, Peter was a assistant coach at Trinity College and head volleyball coach at Eastern Connecticut State University for three years. In his first season as head coach, Peter led the Warriors to a 20-win season, and in 2013, led ECSU to its first post-season appearance since 2007.
Peter began his coaching career at ECSU as an assistant volleyball coach in 1988, and subsequently coached at American International College, Windham High School and Coventry High School. He also has been heavily involved in softball, with previous coaching positions at Holy Cross, Saint Joseph College (CT), and Central Connecticut State University.
Peter is IMPACT and CAP Level I certified and has attended the USAV High Performance and Gold Medal Squared clinics.
Tim Guernsey
Tim Guernsey is the head coach of the RHAM High School volleyball program and in his first year as a co-director of CT Velocity.
Tim, who has been at the helm of RHAM's volleyball team since the program's inception in 2002, has led the Sachems to five CIAC state championships, eight appearances in the CIAC state final, as well as 10 league championships. During his tenure, RHAM has held a record of 260-50 with two undefeated seasons (2008 and 2009), two Connecticut Gatorade Players of the Year (Tessa Smolinski-2009 and Sarah Veilleux-2013), and 10 undefeated seasons in league play. Tim was honored by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association in 2015-2016 as the CHSCA Volleyball Coach of the Year.
In addition to volleyball, Tim also head coached RHAM girls basketball for six years and served as an assistant for the RHAM baseball team. He also heads the Franklin volleyball camp and serves on the SFC Little League board.
Tim is IMPACT certified, holds his CT High School Coaching Certificate, and is Gold Medal Squared certified.
Amanda Nappi
Amanda is currently the head volleyball coach at Lyman Memorial High School and is in her first year as co-director of CT Velocity.
Since joining Velocity, Amanda has served as the head coach of the 16 Open team. During her time at Lyman Memorial High School, she helped the Bulldogs to its first state championship and three state final appearances over four years. Amanda attended UNC-Chapel Hill where she was a member of the varsity track and field team and the Carolina Leadership Academy.
Amanda is IMPACT certified, Beach IMPACT certified, Gold Medal Squared certified and has her CT high school coaching certification.

Our Coaching Staff
Harold Branstrom
Harold is currently the Montville High School freshman coach, and spent last season as an assistant coach for one of Velocity's 15s club teams. He also serves as an assistant coach for the Velocity beach program and Sunday clinics at Esker Point. Harold has spent almost 20 years playing volleyball in various Yankee and indoor leagues throughout New England, as well as beach doubles in the A and AA division. Harold is IMPACT and Safesport trained, and is certified in both First Aid and CPR.
Emilee Penman
Emilee, a recent graduate of Saint Joseph's College of Maine, is in her first year coaching with Velocity. Emilee played three seasons for the Monks earning GNAC Honor Roll awards and being named GNAC Rookie of the Week during her freshman season. Although she opted to sit out her junior year due to an ongoing medical condition, she returned her senior season to finish her career on a high note. Emilee is Safesport and Impact certified and also is trained in CPR and First Aid.
Nick Olsen
Nick joined CT Velocity last season after years of playing and coaching on the west coast. Nick most recently served as the Assistant Coach at his alma mater, Wilson High School in Long Beach, Calif. and also as Associate Head Coach for Hughes Middle School in Long Beach. Nick was a three-year starter and captain for his high school team. Since then, he’s moved onto beach volleyball where he’s played for more than ten years. In his free time, Nick enjoys golfing, sailing and ice hockey.
Amanda Tourjee
A former Velocity player, Amanda is in her second year coaching with the club after spending last season with a 15s team. Amanda finished her freshman season as a setter for Eastern Connecticut State University. She appeared in 22 matches and accumulated 144 assists during her first season as a Warrior. Amanda graduated from Waterford High School where she was a two-time All-State, All-ECC and Norwich Bulletin All-Area selection and captain during her senior year. Amanda is studying education and psychology and hopes to pursue a career in special education.
